OUR PHILOSOPHY

Covington Christian School teachers and staff believe we have been called to assist the home and the local church in the education of the whole child; mind, body, and spirit.  We strive to deliver early childhood, elementary, and junior high education in a safe, healthy learning environment that is Christ centered and promotes spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.

Implementation of our philosophy can be indentified in our program and classrooms through daily Bible lessons and Scripture memorization; that each student might develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, living and behaving in a manner that is God honoring.  Social and emotional development is also addressed through learning experiences such as drama, poetry, and play that promote strong, caring and respectful relationships.  We utilize strong academic curriculum that addressed God's desire for each student to grow in wisdom.  We offer physical education lessons that enhance strength and coordination with an understanding that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit.

We believe every child is a child of God, capable of learning, and deserves the opportunity for a solid educational foundation.

We exist to educate the whole child: mind, body and spirit.  With biblical truth as the foundation of all learning, we  employ godly teachers to assist the home and the local church in developing children who have a biblical worldview featuring the preeminence of Jesus Christ.
